Why Returns Matter
- Handicap Accuracy: Every submitted score ensures a fair and accurate handicap system for all players.
- Competition Integrity: Incomplete data delays tournament processing and undermines final results.
- Peer Review: The handicap system relies on transparency and compliance from every competitor.
The Consequences of Non-Returns
- No Return (NR) Status: Failing to submit a card results in an automatic “No Return” entry.
- Handicap Penalty: Your Handicap Index will be adjusted upward using a penalty score.
- Disqualification: You will be disqualified from the day’s competition.
- Disciplinary Review: Repeated offenses will trigger a formal review by the Handicap Committee.
- Competition Bans: The Committee reserves the right to suspend persistent offenders from future events.
Your Obligations
- Sign and Certify: Ensure both player and marker sign the card.
- Submit Immediately: Enter scores via the terminal directly after your round.
- Return Every Card: Submit your score even if you lift your ball or have a poor round.
